Rehabilitation in Czech Republic
Rehabilitation as a medical field has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. Intensive, timely and professionally managed rehabilitation has a fundamental impact on the results of treatment both after surgery and during sickness.
A modern therapeutic rehabilitation centre was opened several years ago on the very outskirts of Prague, in Beroun. It specialises in full therapeutic rehabilitation, especially in the therapeutic rehabilitation of patients straight after accidents and sickness whose condition has been stabilised at a different clinical department (orthopaedics, neurology, internal medicine, rheumatology and others). The rehabilitation centre is able not only to monitor such patients, but also continue with follow-up therapeutic rehabilitation especially of patients after a central brain stroke, with a more severe neurological disorder, after complicated surgery, traumas and polytraumas, including stabilised patients after serious head injuries, patients after lower limb amputations or spinal surgery. The centre can boast excellent results thanks to its qualified specialists and top facilities.
